Vanessa is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Interdepartmental Neuroscience at the University of California Irvine. In 2020, she graduated with her B.S. in Neuroscience at the University of Iowa.
She received the UC Irvine Diversity Recruitment Fellowship award and was a Scholar of Iowa Bioscience Academy, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Gary graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Doane University in 2015. During this time, he was also able to publish research. He has experience with industrial laboratories, quality manufacturing, and business development. He previously worked as a Quality Engineer at Neenah Enterprises, Inc., and recently started a new job as a Chemist at Zoetis.
Alfredo graduated from Grinnell College in 2017 with a B.S. in Biology. Following graduation, he worked for the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine as a Research Assistant Laboratory Manager. He was also a Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) Scholar at the University of Iowa. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He has received numerous awards including the Society for Advancement of Chicano/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science Award, the Iowa-Illinois-Nebraska STEM Partnership for Innovation in Research and Education LSAMP Award, and two research publications.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at Iowa State University. He has conducted several research projects over the years and attended many conferences to present his work, which includes three publications. Currently, he's pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science at the University of California Berkeley.
Glorianne is an alumnus of Grinnell College with a Bachelor's in Chemistry and a concentration in Policy Studies. She also previously worked as a Legal Education Coordinator at NJ LEEP through the JVC program. Currently, she is working towards a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of New Mexico. Her objective is to become a Presidential Management Fellow focused on water systems.
Brittnie received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Biology, graduating with honors. During the 2015-16 year, she received a $6,000 scholarship and traveled to the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Washington D.C. to analyze samples with NASA collaborators.
She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2020 with her Master's of Science in Biomedical Informatics. While at the University of Chicago, Brittnie worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Since her graduation, she has worked as an Associate Clinical Data Scientist for the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
David earned his Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University in 2015. He worked at Lockheed Martin for four years as a Mechanical Project Engineer before switching roles within the company. David continues to work at Lockheed Martin, now as an Estimating Proposal Analyst. He also works as a Trader & Fund Manager for Wealth Coefficient.
In 2019, David went back to school, attending Harvard University to earn his Master's Degree in Finance as well as a Real Estate Certificate. He is skilled at utilizing data analytics for the creation of statistical metrics to invest in riskier assets. He is a technical swing trader who utilizes a strict risk management plan in the Forex market.
Paul earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. He founded and serves as CEO of IncrediPaul LLC, which encourages the professional development of STEM professionals through speaking, mentoring, and workshops. In addition to this, Paul is a Senior Process Engineer at Nestle Purina, having worked for the company since 2019.
Paul completed a summer internship with IINSPIRE in 2014, created poster presentation awards for several conferences, and interned with Nestle USA while attending Iowa State University. Since then, Paul has not missed an IINSPIRE annual conference, has attributed the program with laying the foundation for his career, and has frequently come back as an alumnus.
Gwendolynn earned her B.S. in Biology at Grinnell College in 2014. She later earned her Master's in Business Administration and Master's in Health Care Administration and Management from the University of Saint Francis. She currently works for Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Commercial Quality Engineer. She also recently received a certification to become a Scrum Master (CSM).
Dr. Fuentes has received multiple fellowships and awards such as the American Physiological Society Porter Physiology Development Fellowship, the 2018 Karl H. Beyer Jr. Scholarship Award for academic excellence and leadership, the 2018 NIAID Research Opportunities Ambassador Award, the 2016- 2018 Penn State Junior Mentor Award for excellence in mentoring, the Moskowitz Family Endowment Award for Graduate Research Excellence, among others. She received Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences Pennsylvania State University. Currently, she's a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Pi Alpha National Honor Society, publication on Biogeochemical Evolution of the Atmosphere: The BETA Project. He earned MPAS from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is a fellow at the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Currently, he's a Certified Physician Assistant at Scribe America.
She's the National Chair of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). She was recently featured in NBC Know Your Value’s article “How Jocelyn Jackson is changing the face of engineering,” where she discussed her journey to becoming an engineer, the adversity she has faced along the way, and how NSBE has helped her and other black engineers, especially fellow women, feel more accepted in the profession. She has held multiple internship positions at John Deere, including Test Engineering Intern and Manufacturing Engineer Intern. She was also a Supply Chain and Operations intern at Land O’Lakes, Inc. She is the recipient of multiple awards for her academic achievements and has also authored a variety of engineering research publications. Currently, She is a doctoral student in Engineering Education Research at the University of Michigan.
Outstanding Student Leader of the year at Wilson Residence Hall, Emerging Researchers National Conference Travel Award Recipient, Graduate Experience for Multicultural Students (GEMS) at the University of Colorado, ORISE Fellow at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute. Currently, she's a Research Specialist at The John Hopkins University School of Medicine.
He obtained B.S. in neurobiology from the University of Iowa and a transfer student from Des Moines Area Community College, has participated in the IINSPIRE LSAMP program for 3 years. He is currently working with other IINSPIRE LSAMP students to create a student organization for STEM majors interested in research. Rodrigue presented research posters at both the 2014 and 2015 Louis Stokes Midwest Center of Excellence Conferences. Currently, he's pursuing a Ph.D. degree at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

She's a Ph.D. student in applied mathematics at the University of Minnesota and is interested in mathematical applications in climate and industry. Her primary area of study is dynamic systems and my supporting program is partial differential equations. She's the treasurer for the SIAM Student Chapter and actively involved with the Women in Math student group. She received her undergraduate degree from Grinnell College, majoring in mathematics with a strong emphasis on physics.

He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in biochemistry and molecular chemistry at Georgetown University.
